I've rarely heard the beginning of this quote, usually just the end. But, I read the whole thing yesterday and it really made me think.

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of humankind as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing at all." -Helen Keller

I read it in a fun book by David Silberkleit called a new adventure every day. It has fun ideas like give your appliances names, try a new breakfast cereal, talk to someone in line, experiment with the amount of sleep you need, make something and sell it at a craft bazaar, and have an adventure in the rain. Visit Every Day Adventure to sign up for his newsletter which will send you one adventure a day. His idea is that it is the approach to life, not necessarily what you do that makes an adventure. As SARK says, "Live Juicy."
