I am so proud of my daughter today. The fifth grade bike trip to Lake Michigan had her worried. 11 miles there and 11 miles back with a stop at the park for lunch, sand castle sculptures, and running up and down the dunes. I manned the snack about halfway to the park. After the last group left, we drove down to the beach. I passed my daughter struggling to keep up, her short little legs going twice as fast as her taller classmates. But, she also had this look of stubborn determination. She found it difficult, yet she kept on going because she wanted to make it all the way there without having to ride with one of the driving moms.

Too often, I quit or procrastinate instead of pushing through. I think I need a little more stubborn determination in my own life.
